Hello friends, My name is Afzal Feroze. Travelling and exploring new places has always been my passion.I am a hospitality management graduate from Galgotias University. I have noticed that tourism and hospitality are closely-related areas of an economic and social phenomenon that have developed a critical role in the world economy. The industry has become one of the major players in international commerce. At the same time, it represents one of the primary income sources for many developing countries with economic and employment benefits. The profession is not only profit-oriented but also exciting and full of colourful funs and challenges. I am highly impressed with the industry’s growth and the prospects of career development in the sector. From childhood, I have seen that the guests are treated like a reflection of God in India. Apart from that, it provides immense pleasure to tender them the best of the services and all possible facilities. Factually speaking, India is an attraction centre for tourists around the globe and the annual strength of 7.1 million tourists in the year 2016 is a shred of evidence for this.The growing scopes and spectrum of this sector have encouraged me to make a career in this field. I have been working in the tourism industry for the past five years, and each day was new for me.I was working with India’s leading airline Jet airways.I was happy working their as I can travel where ever I want, the perks of being an airline staff !!.Unfortunately my airline closed its operation due to financial crises.I was unemployed for few days and during that time I decided to go for my higher education.
After a detailed search, I found a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Tourism Experience Management at Thompson river university best for me. The course structure and learning are very similar to what I wanted. I was also fortunate enough to get a letter of acceptance from the university. Therefore, there would be a whole range of career opportunities for me to complete my course. I wish to utilize the learning from the programme and start my tour and travel agency. Exploring and experiencing new places and cultures is my passion. I believe if we make our love our work, then we don’t have to work again.
